History of ice hockey

The history of ice hockey is intriguing and it is worth learning about the game of Ice Hockey. This great game was played by men and women from all around North America for a long time. Then, due to the popularity rise of ice hockey in 1917 National Hockey League was established. Since that  there were lots of different teams represented in that league. Through the years the game has grown to be a global phenomenon with millions of people enjoying it.

The origins of ice hockey could be traced back to the early days of ice skating. Canada is considered as motherland of ice hockey.

These days, ice hockey has seen many different versions come and go. Among the latest versions is known as" Madden" ("Madden" is French and means"short", but the term is also used to refer to a certain brand of softball, basketball or soccer balls, among other items ). The original version of ice hockey game involved two teams and has been called the Professional Hockey Association. The first official game of ice hockey has been played in the United States at the First World Collection of Hockey held in New York in 1903.

A couple of years later the game was officially introduced in the United States and was first played at the Brooklyn Arena in New York. Ever since then it has developed into what is known today as"Ice Hockey". Throughout the years the game has been played largely in the colder climates of North America. Most ice rinks were constructed from timber before the 1950's when concrete piers were constructed for better heating conditions. As time passed new technological advancements allowed rinks to be assembled with thermally insulated glass and metal.

Finally, ic ehockey is an amazing game, with rich history and millions of fans. We have to respect the history of this great game to name ourselves true hockey fans.
